The “No food or drink” rule is to be strictly enforced.
This rule will also apply to staff; i.e. Staff can no longer have beverages (this includes water) at the Welcome Desk or the Reference Desk.
There are water fountains located on both floors and they are filtered.
This is pursuant to HPL Policy 1.8 Houston Public Library Reference and Research Collections: Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited.
